Title of thesis: Enhancement of emotional intelligence of children aged 7 to 9 years old through educational toolkit design
Emotional intelligence is a persons ability to recognise emotions, use emotions effectively, distinguish different emotional information, and regulate emotions for psychological and emotional development. Child emotional intelligence is much more critical to their development than intelligence quotient. Based on the author's experience in industrial design and tacit knowledge, there is an opportunity to use principles and theories associated with the design to enhance child emotional intelligence education, within the context of responsible design.
