Ben Dolman's current practice and scholarship is fine art photography which has sought to capture and convey our complex relationship to the British landscape. Ben is also currently part of a project called the Studio of Light based within the School of Design and Creative Arts. The ‘Studio of Light’ is a research laboratory and studio dedicated to photography and its reproduction bringing together the contemporary and the antiquarian – digital, the analogue and the hybrid. The Studio of Light is currently focused on developing platinum and palladium photographic processes that date back to the 19th-Century to bring them into a 21st-Century context for the benefit of contemporary photographers, artists, conservators and educators.
