Study abroad
Expand your thinking – and your horizons.
Studying in a different country can take your skills and confidence to a whole new level. If you want to study abroad, you can do that as part of your degree at º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ Business School.
Every undergraduate student at the Business School has the option to study abroad at one of our partner universities around the world between their second and final year at º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ.
If you decide to do it, it’ll be a chance to stretch yourself, expand your network and confidence, and spend time in another culture. It’s also a great thing to have on your CV to set you apart from other candidates when you’re applying for jobs.
Study abroad as part of your degree to:
Gain a Diploma in International Studies (DIntS)
alongside your º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ degree qualification
Experience living and studying in another country and culture
to develop your confidence and broaden your horizons
Form a network of friends
and valuable connections all over the world
Build experience and skills
to enhance your CV and stand out to employers
How does it work?
If you’re studying an undergraduate degree with us, you can apply to either:
- study for one year abroad (at one partner university for 12 months or two different partner universities for six months each);
or - study for six months abroad and six months on a placement (in the UK or abroad).
Credits gained won’t count towards your final degree, but you will receive a Diploma in International Studies (DIntS) when you complete your study abroad year.
BSc International Business students can study abroad during semester two of year two, whether they study abroad in year three or not. Credits gained during this semester count towards your final degree, so a more limited selection of partner universities is available. Please contact the International Relations Office during semester one of your first year if you’re interested in this option.
Not able to study abroad for a whole semester or year?
Many overseas universities offer short-term intensive summer schools outside term time, too – so you can still get some of the benefits of studying overseas. Please contact the International Relations Office for more information.
