Dr Antti Lyyra is a Lecturer in Information Management at º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ Business School. His research examines how the development and adoption of digital and artificial intelligence technologies are transforming organisations, strategy and society. In particular, he is interested in how managing innovation that relies on data, artificial intelligence and robotic technologies differs from more established forms of digital and product innovation, such as communication and coordination technologies, digital platforms and modular manufacturing. At º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ, he teaches modules on digital innovation and information management to undergraduate and postgraduate students.

Dr Lyyra received his PhD from the Department of Management at the London School of Economics (LSE). His PhD, titled '(De)construction of Computer-Controlled Behaviour', studied the dynamics of digital innovation in robots and autonomous systems, using the Robot Operating System as a case study. After completing his PhD, he worked at Oxa, an Oxford-based autonomous vehicle developer, where he analysed transport ecosystems and markets, developing product and market strategies. He later returned to LSE as a Fellow to teach the management of artificial intelligence and organisation theory for digital innovation.

Before pursuing academic research in artificial intelligence and robotics, Dr Lyyra spent eight years in technology and management consulting at Accenture and Deloitte. He designed and developed enterprise information systems, SAP and industry-specific, leading cross-functional business analysis and process development for global, large-scale logistics and finance systems in the telecommunications and automotive industries.
