Alessandra joined the º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ in May 2017. She holds an MSc and a PhD in Economics from the University of Warwick, where she worked as a teaching assistant and a research fellow. She subsequently worked for several years at the Department of Economics of the University of Reading.
Alessandra is an applied microeconomist. Her research interests are mainly focused on the use of econometric techniques and in particular on performance measurement, and on the topics of efficiency and competition in banking, regulated utilities and health.
She has published on international journals such as the Review of Economics and Statistics, the European Journal of Operational Research, the Journal of Banking & Finance and the European Journal of Finance.
Given the applied nature of her expertise Alessandra has contributed to several consulting projects for both public and private institutions on a variety of topics.
