Ahmad is a Lecturer in the Information Management group at º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ Business School. He received his Ph.D. in Information Systems from the National University of Singapore, School of Computing. Before joining º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ, he worked as a Research Fellow at the National University of Singapore.

Ahmad's research lies in the intersection between digital innovation and SMEs. In his current work, he investigates the digital platform's role in overcoming the resource limitations issue of SMEs and enabling their capabilities' development. He also studies the power dynamics between digital platforms and SMEs, as well as their repercussion on the platform economy. Ahmad published several peer-reviewed articles in premium Information Systems conferences such as International Conference on Information Systems (ICIS), European Conference on Information Systems (ECIS), and Pacific Asia Conference on Information Systems (PACIS).

He received multiple prestigious awards during the last few years, including:

  • Kauffman Best Student Paper Award at ICIS 2020.
  • Best Reviewer Award at ECIS in 2021.
