The aims of the GBSN align with our own, bringing the world’s leading business schools together with business, NGOs and governments “to improve access to quality, locally relevant management and entrepreneurship education for the developing world.”
The GBSN develops innovative programs by engaging faculty in collaborative research leading to novel insights into the complexities and challenges in emerging economies. Often supported by organisations or government grants, GBSN projects are facilitated by member business schools and encompass a wide range of activities such as crafting and delivering training programs, as well as undertaking feasibility studies.
As the newest member of the GBSN, º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ has the opportunity to work collaboratively with like-minded business schools and organisations, amplifying the social and economic impact of business schools around the world, and support the University's commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Commenting on this development, the School’s Director of Internationalisation, Prof Amon Chizema, said:
The world is now in a state where the focus of business schools is no longer just about business, but the consideration of wider societal and environmental issues as well. Becoming a member of GBSN now is therefore both timely and necessary to help create a better world by enabling and equipping purpose-driven people and organisations to perform better and more responsibly.
