Percy, who also holds an MBA and MPhil from the Rotman School of Business, University of Toronto, has a wealth of experience in financial services. He specialises in investment banking, asset management, private equity investment, and strategic financial and economic services to governments and multinational companies in emerging market countries.
Percy has held a number of high profile positions and acted as an advisor to a number of governments including India and Mauritius. He was a Director and Senior Advisor at the World Bank from 1971-1987 and currently holds a Non-Executive Directorship with JP Morgan Emerging Markets Investment Trust, and a position as a Senior Advisor with Europa Partners Ltd.
An Emeritus Visiting Professor at the Administrative Staff College India, for a number of years Percy was a Senior Fellow of International Finance at Queen Elizabeth House, Oxford University. He has also held a number of positions with not-for-profit organisations including Forum on Debt and Development (FONDAD), the Development Bank of South Africa, and the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa.
He has (co)authored many publications including 'African Debt: The Case for Relief' (1988), 'Regional Integration and Economic Development' (1996) and 'Export of Services: The Case of Mauritius' (2009) and is a former Columnist with The Banker.
