Summary of project activities and outcomes:
This research project involved working with local city-level stakeholders to help convert academic research/knowledge about pluvial flood risk mapping into usable information and tools for the multi-agency Local Resilience Forum in Leicester. Through this project the team of academics and practitioners (with a diverse range of disciplinary backgrounds) developed some dynamic mapping tools that could be used by city planners and the emergency services to identity critical bottlenecks that may occur under a range of localised flooding events.
