Summary of project activities and outcomes:

To undertake the role of UNICEF focal point during the design of a new DFID supported rural water, sanitation and hygiene programme within the UNICEF Sierra Leone country programme 2008-2010.

The role involved driving the preparation of the programme proposal to its successful submission; taking an active role in the process; monitoring all progress; investigating partnership options for implementation; and advising the UNICEF Country Office of the things that needed to be in place to facilitate the programme’s launch in early 2008.
