MSc in Sports Engineering
Our MSc in Sports Engineering has been designed with input from industry to meet the challenges of the rapidly changing global sports equipment market. You will develop the technical and transferable skills highly sought after by the sports equipment industry and academic research.
Postgraduate research
Our post-doctoral graduates are highly valued by the industry and the vast majority of our students have job offers prior to or immediately on completion of their PhD.
Our links with industry create exciting and challenging opportunities for our PhD students, who through research, develop new knowledge which provides our industrial partners with insights into how to optimise or improve their products.
Many of our PhD students have gone on to high profile R&D positions in the field. For example, the Head of Research and Development at Speedo, the Head of Innovation at Callaway Golf and the Head of Ball Research at Penn, are all former PhD students of the Institute.
The annual intake of PhD students varies year on year, but at present we recruit approximately 8 new students per annum.
