Cong has joined us as a Research Associate in Machine Vision and Perception.
He graduated from the University of Manchester in 2016 with a BEng in Electrical and Electrical Engineering and remained at Manchester to study for his PhD in Advanced Digital Signal Processing. His thesis investigated the inflight behaviours of Western Honeybees through precise 3D detection and tracking with multiple sensing configurations, including LiDAR, infrared LED arrays and stereo cameras.
Having completed his PhD, Cong joined the Intelligent Vehicle Labs in Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2021 as a Research Associate, where he was responsible for the multi-modal perception on autonomous vehicles and Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS).
Cong’s research interests include rule-based and knowledge-based image processing, point cloud processing and Simultaneous Localisation And Mapping (SLAM).
We look forward to working with you.
