The conference was organized by WZL of RWTH Aachen University, in cooperation with the National Physical Laboratory (NPL), University College London (UCL), the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB) and, for the first time, two Spanish partners - Tekniker and IDEKO.
As well as offering a unique opportunity to explore cutting-edge technology and research facilities, the conference included top-class lectures, an open industry exhibition, special interest sessions, and a number of dedicated networking formats. Experts from around the world attended, with representatives from AIRBUS, leading research centres like PTB and NPL, and many UK and international Universities.
15 researchers from various organisations showcased their posters, with a similar number giving presentations on their work. Just before the conference concluded, the ‘Best Poster’ and ‘Best Presentation’ were announced, having been selected by a process of on-site, anonymous voting.
To their absolute delight, the º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ team were successful in winning not one, but both, of these very prestigious prizes! Connor Gill took first place for his presentation entitled ‘An in-line measurement strategy for quality monitoring in 3D concrete printing’ and Wen Claire Guo's poster on ‘Simulation-driven optimisation of camera placement for photogrammetry in complex workspaces’ was judged to be the best of the entire showcase.
Congratulations to both Connor and Claire for what was a well-earned recognition for their work.
