Matt started his academic journey at º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ in October 2017, where he was enrolled into the Systems Engineering undergraduate bachelor’s degree. He completed this degree, achieving first class honours, in 2021. During his time at º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ, Matt has undertaken a research project in collaboration with Direct Line and is also currently working part-time as a research associate.
His research involves investigating theneed to use automated, battery dismantling systems with human collaboration to re-purpose, sort and grade batteries from electric vehicles for second life applications. Matt is looking to identify the priorities and barriers in relation to the research and development in automated disassembly, sorting, and testing of electric vehicle batteries to provide an insight on how to handle the forecasted, exponential growth of electric vehicle batteries without having to resort to landfill.
Welcome to the Intelligent Automation family Matt.
