Dr Sarah Jewett

Dr. Sarah Jewett serves as the Director of Learning Partnerships in Research and Practice at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC). She is passionate about teaching and learning, and affiliates with the Department of Sociology, Anthropology and Public Health, and the Language, Literacy & Culture doctoral program.
As an ethnographic researcher focused on educational equity, inclusive communities and sociocultural identities, she is deeply engaged in digital storytelling. During the fall semester, she is excited to learn from and collaborate with the brilliant colleagues at the Storytelling Academy. In particular, she is interested in investigating the role of digital storytelling in facilitating dialogue around climate change and environmental engagement. Sarah earned her Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania.
During their Fulbright Fellowship, Dr Jewett is collaborating with Professor Michael Wilson from the School of Design and Creative Arts.
