Dr Marina Cino Pagliarello

Dr Marina Cino Pagliarello is currently Marie Skłodowska-Curie Research Fellow at the School of Transnational Governance of the European University Institute in Florence. She was previously an ESRC post-doctoral Fellow at the LSE, London, and has held academic positions as lecturer in EU politics, public policy and European political economy.
Her academic research focuses on the multi-level, public-private governance mix in Higher Education institutions across Europe, and in understanding how universities combine political agency with knowledge production to promote economic, social, cultural, and educational relations between nations. Her book, Ideas and European Education Policy: 1975-2020, was published in 2022 (Palgrave). Dr Cino Pagliarello also has extensive experience in policy analysis and the evaluation of public policies. She has worked for over 20 years as an education policy advisor for national and international organisations and governments and has a track record in expanding strategic relationships between academic institutions, policy makers and consultancies.
Since 2012, in her role as Senior Research Associate for LSE Consulting, she has led several projects on education for a wide range of clients including the European Commission, the European Training Foundation, the British Council and the UK Government. She is also one of the current Fellows of the widely-read LSE Higher Education blog.
During their IAS Fellowship, Dr Cino Pagliarello is collaborating with Professor Helen Drake from º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ London.
