Dr Susana Vale

Dr Vale has a PhD in Physical Activity and Health from the University of Porto (2010) and is currently Associate Professor at the Higher School of Education of the Polytechnic Institute of Porto, where she leads a module on children’s motor development.
She is also an active member of the University of Porto’s Research Centre in Physical Activity, Health, and Leisure and the Laboratory for Integrative and Translational Research in Population Health. Dr Vale’s research focuses on the motor development and habitual physical activity and sedentary behaviour of preschool and primary school aged children, including contributions to governmental projects such as assessing the prevalence of Portuguese children and adolescents meeting physical activity guidelines.
