Dr André Pimenta Freire

André Pimenta Freire is an associate professor at the Federal University of Lavras in the Department of Computer Science. His research is focused on Human-Computer Interaction and Information Systems, with emphasis on Accessibility, Digital Government, Digital Health and e-learning. He holds a Research Fellowship by CNPq (National Council for Scientific and Technological Development) at level PQ-2 (2022 - now).
He works at the ALCANCE - Research Group on Accessibility, Usability and Computational Linguistics, and is a member of the Graduate Programmes of Computer Science and Public Administration. André has been involved in several scientific bodies, including the Special Interest Group of Information Systems (2017-2021) and Human-Computer Interaction (2020-now) of the Brazilian Computer Society, and Brazilian representative of the IFIP TC13 group on Human-Computer Interaction (2022 - now).
André has published a number of research papers on journals on conferences related to Human-Computer Interaction, Accessibility and Information Systems. He has also served in programme committees for conferences and reviewer for a number of international journals. He has been principal investigator and co-principal investigator in a number of research projects funded by Brazilian research councils and governmental agencies, involving Brazilian and foreign investigators.
