Associate Professor Wenbo Ding

Associate Professor Wenbo Ding is a PhD supervisor in Tsinghua-Berkeley Shenzhen Institute, Tsinghua University, where he leads the Smart Sensing and Robotics (SSR) Lab. Associate Professor Ding received the B.E and Ph.D. degrees (both with the highest honours) from the Department of Electronic Engineering, Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, in 2011 and 2016, respectively. He worked as a postdoctoral research fellow at Georgia Tech, Atlanta, GA, under the supervision of Professor Z. L. Wang from 2016 to 2019.
His research interests are diverse and interdisciplinary, which include self-powered sensors, energy harvesting, wearable devices for health and soft robotics with the help of signal processing, machine learning and mobile computing. He has published more than 50 journal papers, which are in top-notch journals including Nature Communications, Advanced Energy Materials, Nano Energy, IEEE JSAC, IEEE IoTJ, IEEE TVT, etc.
He has received many prestigious awards, including the Gold Medal of the 47th International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva, the IEEE Scott Helt Memorial Award. Associate Professor Ding’s h index is 26, i10 index is 43 and total citation is 1792 according to Google Scholar.
