I am a senior lecturer in the area of management and innovation in healthcare, teaching and supervising students at both postgraduate and undergraduate levels. I’m a vice-coordinator for an Academic Master’s Degree Programme on Information Technology and Healthcare Management at the Federal University of Health Sciences of Porto Alegre (UFCSPA), Brazil. In addition, I am a member of the Diversity and Inclusion Group, a member of the Editorial Board of the UFCSPA Publishing House and a member of the Research Ethics Committee at the same University.
Moreover, I teach doctoral classes at the Design School at Unisinos University/Brazil, as an assistant lecturer. I am a researcher and have published more than 60 journal and conference papers, in Brazil and internationally. In 2017, I became a member of the Design Research Society (DRS) and assisted in the creation of a new Special Interest Group (SIG) called Global Health. Currently, I am a member of Global Health SIG DRS. Also, I am concluding my studies in Safety, Quality, Informatics and Leadership in the Health Programme at Harvard Medical School. I am specialized in design management and competencies applied to the healthcare and apparel sectors.
Recently, I have been leading research on design strategies for health, aiming to improve the quality of life and wellbeing of users, particularly in Low Middle Income Countries (LMICs). At present, I am part of a group that is developing actions in Global Health Design against COVID-19.
