New Business Wayfinder

Our mission is to develop a new generation of businesses rooted in º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ and more resilient to future challenges.

New Business Wayfinder supports local entrepreneurs to experiment with new technology, and to launch and grow their businesses. Led by the University's business incubator, LUinc., the project is working to support the creation 60 new businesses here in º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ.   

Our incubation spaces, located on º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ Science and Enterprise Park, and in the Careers and Enterprise Hub in º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ town centre, are equipped with a range of high-quality technology for digital and physical prototyping. These include audio and visual recording equipment, virtual and augmented reality technology and a dedicated fabrication lab.

Events and opportunities

We host a range of exciting activities focussed on: 

  • Start-Up Support – for existing or aspiring entrepreneurs seeking help to start their business 
  • Skills Building – for those interested to learn about new technology and how to utilise it  
  • Community Activity – for those looking to better connect with their local community 

The Careers & Enterprise Hub

The Careers & Enterprise Hub is a unique partnership between º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ College, º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ and Charnwood Borough Council, created as part of º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ Town Deal.

Based in the heart of º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ Market Place, careers and employment experts from º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ College offer guidance and support to people who want to boost their careers or get into work. Startup expertise from º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ is available for those aspiring to start their own businesses, providing guidance, training, and mentoring.
