The Emergent Photonics Research Centre is an expanding, internationally respected cluster of experts.
The Centre is led by Professor Marco Peccianti and Professor Alessia Pasquazi. Professor Marco Peccianti, is a recognised leader in ultrafast nonlinear optics who has made sustained and pioneering contributions to the field of optical complexity and the development of novel terahertz applications based on ultrafast nonlinear photonics. Professor Alessia Pasquazi works at the forefront of ultrafast photonic technologies, including microcombs
They are joined by EPSRC Quantum Technology Career Development Fellow Dr Juan Sebastian Totero Gongora who leads research in AI powered photonic quantum technologies.
The Centre is building distinctive capabilities in these areas, with a growing team of talented Early Career Fellows and PhD students from internationally respected research institutes.
