Workshop - Is play the missing link to maths achievement?

The Centre for Mathematical Cognition is hosting a workshop presented by Dr Petro Erasmus on the Maths Whartels program which was developed based on predictors of maths achievement and focuses on the importance of play in mastering maths conceptsd and developing a positive study orientation in maths.
Department of Mathematics Education PhD Conference

The CMC/MEC Barbecue was held at º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ on 29th June 2021. This was a networking event with CMC/MEC staff and PhD students to aid research culture cohesion.
CMC's First Away Day

The CMC’s first away day took place on the 15th June 2021 and was held at Prestwold Hall in Leicestershire. The day focussed on Centre Key Performance Indicators, research conversations, Impact presentations and Introduction of the CMC Impact Framework.
Research England E3 Conference
26 February 2020
Research England organised a networking event at the Cube in Birmingham for all E3 Centre Directors and Centre Managers to discuss future strategy and present research posters from Units. There was also roundtables and workshops on sustainability, Unit monitoring and Early-Career researchers development.
