PhD Studentships in Additive Manufacturing / 3D Printing

The Additive Manufacturing Research Group offers a unique opportunity for UK & EU residents to undertake fully funded PhD studentships in the internationally recognised Wolfson School of Mechanical & Manufacturing Engineering, º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ, UK. 

These studentships are available across a broad range of topic areas in the field of Additive Manufacturing such as materials, process development/integration, simulation, design, and new application.. The majority of our research is conducted with industry and our prior collaborations have covered many industries including the aerospace, automotive, medical, consumer and electronics industries.

The studentships have fully paid tuition fees and provide a successful applicant with a tax-free stipend of £13,863 per annum for the three-year PhD duration. Additional funding will also be provided to support participation in international conferences, summer schools, workshops and research visits to project partners.

Entry requirements include a good Bachelors degree (minimum upper second class (2.1)) or equivalent in Engineering, Materials Science, Computer Science or any other Applied Science related subject.
