Funding

Information on some of the funding available for covering some of the costs of childcare

Early educational entitlement

º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ Campus Nursery is registered to claim FEEE for two, three and four year olds. The Government allows up to 15 hours per week up to 570 hours per year (38 weeks in an academic year) per child, which is only available during school term times.

The term before your child becomes free you will be contacted by the nursery notifiying you that your child will be eligible for funding, you will need to complete a Parental Statement of Undertaking, a funding agreement and the nursery will also need to take a copy of your childs full birth certificate.

More information about funding can be found at on the Leicestershire County Council website.

Retainer options are not available during term time for children claiming Government funding.

º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ Nursery may not be able to offer you your full entitlement of 15 funded hours a week.

The funding is only available in school term times and any additional hours and all meals will be charged for. The nursery is audited by Leicestershire County Council and has to complete forms to claim the amount of agreed FEEE hours stated on your "Parents' Statement of Understanding".

The eligible funded hours are deducted each month from your nursery invoice.

Parents can choose to have funding applied on term dates or stretched over the year from September to August.

Please see the Management for FEEE availability and your full payment structure.

A holiday/absence form must be completed for each absence.

Extended entitlement

Registration - In order to claim the 30 hours extended entitlement parents must register their eligibility every 3 months with HMRC. Failure to do so will mean that the nursery will not receive funding for your child and you will be required to make good the shortfall in funding which is currently set at £3.97 per hour.

The Nursery will require your 500* number and your N.I. to check your eligibiltiy.

Grace Period - Parents who claim the 30 hours funding will have their eligibility checked by the DfE's Eligibility Checking Service approximately every 3 months. If a family's eligibility under the earnings criteria ceases, the Local Authority will allow a grace period during which the family will continue to receive the 30 hours funding. If at the end of the grace period the family still does not meet the earnings criteria, the child will no longer be eligible for the full 30 hours funding, but can still receive the standard universal 15 hours funding. Further information on the grace period is available from the office on request.

Funded only term time places

The Nursery offers funded only term time places, these are subject to availability and limited. Our funded sessions are three afternoons Monday, Thursday and Friday 1pm to 6pm. º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ Students also have the option of 9am to 4pm Monday and Friday or Thursday and Friday. We do require a minimum booking of 14 hours as we believe fewer sessions than this does not give enough continuity for a child. Please email nursery@lboro.ac.uk for more information.

Two-year-old funding

The Nursery offers two-year-old funded only term time places, you can choose from three afternoons Monday, Thursday and Friday 1pm to 6pm or two short days, 9am to 4pm Monday and Friday or Thursday and Friday. We do require a minimum booking of 14 hours as we believe fewer sessions than this does not give enough continuity for a child. Please email nursery@lboro.ac.uk for more information.
