This exhibition is part of Zihan's ongoing practice-based doctoral project, 'Wearable Memories: Contemporary Jewellery Practice Based on the Study of Nomadic Culture in Northern China'.

In this project, personal emotion and collective memory are explored through jewellery making as well as theoretical investigation, with a focus on the vanishing nomadic culture of her hometown, Inner Mongolia, Northern China. Zihan’s jewellery was developed from a journey to collect stories and experiences from the landscapes of her ancestors, by conducting field research across this region of Northern China, where she was born.

This exhibition has been supported by the Doctoral Researcher Support Fund at º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ Doctoral College.

You can find more information about accessibility, facilities, parking and public transport on the LU Arts event page.
