The packs have been designed to ensure the new students have all the essentials they need when moving to º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ, supporting their transition to university. As well as providing these packs, Dunelm have funded an Opportunity Scholarship for a student starting at º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ this week. The Opportunity Scholarships provide financial support to eligible students coming to º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ from areas of low participation in higher education or socio-economic deprivation.
Laura Hutchinson, Acting Director of Philanthropy said: "Moving to university can be an intimidating experience for everyone, but it can be particularly daunting for students who have additional obstacles to overcome. We want to ensure move-in day is as exciting as it should be, removing financial worries where possible. Dunelm are helping us make that happen.
"We would like to thank Dunelm for their incredible generosity, which will help ensure those students in need of support, have everything they need to start their º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ journey."
Julie Winfield, Wellbeing Team Practice Lead commented: "These packs will no doubt make a huge difference to our students this year. We’re very grateful to Dunelm for the ongoing partnership. Now more than ever, it is so important that we offer support and continue to help in these practical ways where we can."
Paul Sullivan, Head of Circular Communities at Dunelm said: "We’re incredibly proud of our continued partnership with º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ and being able to support the new students for the fifth year running. We know providing these starter kits is essential in kick-starting these students' journey and helping them feel truly at home."
