The exhibition features posters of speculative projects by first-year undergraduate Textile Design students (2022-23), in response to a brief focusing on Refugees, Grenfell Survivors or the LGBTQIA+ community.
Students were prompted to produce a textiles future intervention to address issues that face these social groups. They were encouraged to produce media for the short, medium and long-term textile future, with consideration around the role of technology and its applicability within this context. Various media was produced as a result, including design scenarios presented as prototypes, services, experiences and interactions.
Admission is free and the exhibition is open to all who wish to attend. Booking is not required. Car parking is subject to availability; the nearest car park is Car Park 9.
