Easter activities for children and young people

The Easter holidays are almost here, providing the opportunity for parents and carers to spend quality time with their children. In the current Cost of Living crisis, it can be difficult to find activities that are low-cost or free in and around º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ.

We have gathered some ideas that might inspire staff and student parents and carers with cheap and fun things to do in the area which are child-friendly, covering different interests and age groups.

Activities on our campus

  • Fruit Routes is an artist-led initiative, working with º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ staff, students, and members of the local community to create an edible campus. You can enjoy Fruit Routes as a place to walk with family and use the foraging map to find fruit to harvest, which you can then take home to make simple meals and drinks using the recipe guide.
  • LU Arts: The University Choir is open to º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ students, staff, and members of the public aged 16+. The Choir rehearses on a Monday evening in Cope Auditorium during term time from 7-9pm.
