The screening will take place on 23 February at 7pm at the Cope Auditorium.
Othello follows the story of an unlikely couple; She’s a bright, headstrong daughter of a senator; elevated by her status but stifled by its expectations. He’s a refugee of slavery; having risen to the top of a white world, he finds love across racial lines has a cost.
Wed in secret, Desdemona and Othello crave a new life together. But as unseen forces conspire against them, they find their future is not theirs to decide.
Directed by Clint Dyer and filmed live on the Lyttleton stage of the National Theatre, Othello’s cast includes Giles Terera (Hamilton), Rosy McEwean (The Alienist), and Paul Hilton (The Inheritance).
General tickets are £10 or £5 for students and are available to buy online or on the door. Subject to availability, card payments only can be taken on the door and the Cope Auditorium has free parking.
