"Historically, entertainment industries depend on people having two disposable assets: time and money. In esports, the market adds the need for digital assets to scale and deliver 24/7/365 to the consumers.
“Experts participating in this event question the status-quo of esports business technologies and data sources that drive the decision-makers on the board.”
Ahead of the conference, Marie Kapretz, The Head of the Delegation of the Government of Catalonia to Germany, spoke about the rise of esports:
“The pandemic has accelerated the development of the esports industry. In Catalonia, it gave rise to a new league. We now count 145 companies, generating 53 per cent of Spain's turnover in this industry. Moreover, the Catalan Government sees this segment as an opportunity to spread health and educational values.”
