The programme will run 16-24 June, coinciding with The School of Design and Creative Arts degree shows and performances.
LU Arts has a long-standing commitment to interdisciplinarity, seen most clearly in Radar, the strand of activity that invites artists to develop work in response to academic research.
The Interface programme is about encouraging and supporting collaboration between different disciplines at all levels, whether that be student or staff. Bringing together different skills, different perspectives and different voices can open up new possibilities and new ways of thinking that can often result in innovative outcomes.
Nick Slater, Director of LU Arts said: “We wanted to showcase how creative subjects interact with other areas, making visible the overlaps, and advocating for the value of creative collaborations. The week will highlight exciting work that is already happening and create platforms for researchers from different disciplines to begin new discussions.”
