Hansson part of Sweden world record in Women’s 200m Medley Relay

º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ’s Louise Hansson produced a storming swim as Sweden clocked an equal world record to win the Women’s 200m Medley Relay at the 2021 FINA World Championships.

Hansson, first out the blocks, started strongly to give Sweden the lead with a 25.91 split, before teammates Sophie Hansson (29.07), Sarah Sjostrom (23.96), and Michelle Coleman (23.44) combined to claim gold in 1:42.38.

The United States won silver (1:43.61) with the Netherlands securing bronze (1:44.03).

Sweden’s recorded time equalled the world record set by the United States at World Championships in 2018.

º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ swimmers have enjoyed a successful start to the Championships with Felix Auböck becoming World Champion in yesterday’s Men’s 400m freestyle.
