Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the team – along with artist Anne-Marie Culhane – are unfortunately unable to deliver their annual Fruit Routes Harvest programme this year, which takes place every October and features events for all of the family such as pumpkin carving, walks, workshops and making jam using foraged ingredients.
However, despite the pandemic, the campus has grown an abundance of fruit, and the team wants to still share this with the community for free.
If you’d like to take some fruit home with you, you can pick up a Fruit Routes map from the Sustainability Office and pick it yourself. Alternatively, you can also visit the following locations from Monday 19 October:
- The Sustainability Office
- º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ Students’ Union
- Bom Bom Patisserie (12 Derwent Drive, º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ)
Fruit Routes is an artist-led project which has developed the campus to be an edible landscape, by planting fruit trees, increasing foraging opportunities and sharing knowledge with the wider community through engaging events.
