Sustainably Speaking has been created as a platform to share information about topics relating to sustainability and the environment, such as carbon offsetting and recycling.
Not only that, but it is also a space to start conversations and share opinions and experiences on all things sustainability.
You can expect content from students, academics and members of the Sustainability team. Topics covered will include team members trialling plastic-free lifestyles, research from º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ experts, the bees on campus, and much more.
There will also be news about waste, energy, travel and biodiversity in and around the University campuses.
Environment Management Assistant Amber Quraishi said: “We hope that by starting this blog we can get more staff and students involved in conversations around sustainability, as well as engage the local community and prospective staff and students in what we do here at º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ.
“As topics around climate change now regularly dominate headlines, Sustainably Speaking aims to be an easily accessible portal where anyone can learn more about topics they might not know about, or find overwhelming. We want to spark new thoughts, opinions and ideas, and maybe even inspire a positive change.”
Sustainably Speaking can be viewed online, where you can read articles about carbon offsetting and Easter consumerism
