In this national competition, students are tasked with helping a small business to build its profile through Amazon. The Management Sciences students identified BOHNS, a premium meat rub range, sourcing local ingredients from Derbyshire.
Team leader Ross Bandeira explained: “Having visited BOHNS burger bar in Nottingham and saw their meat rubs, me and my partner Josh spotted the company were not yet listed on Amazon. We contacted the founders, pitched the partnership and reached the top of the Challenge leader board in less than a week.”
Thanks to the º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ team, BOHNS are now selling nine products on Amazon, including a best-selling triple pack and All Spice rub, suitable for vegans. The team has until the end of May to secure as many sales for BOHNS in order to win the Challenge and be fast-tracked for internships at Amazon HQ.
“Winning the challenge would be a great career boost for us all, as our Management and Product Design and Technology degrees we are studying have a sandwich year,” continued Ross.
“We jumped at the chance to team up with º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ students for the Amazon Campus Challenge,” said BOHNS co-founder Jeff Neads.
“Aside from accessing the Amazon marketplace, it’s great to have such new, youthful input. The team took responsibility in getting our products listed with Amazon – no mean feat in itself – and the enthusiasm for promoting BOHNS has made working with them a pleasure,” Jeff concluded.
To help the º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ team to win, buy any of the BOHN’s products, and ideally leave a review.
