On Tuesday 21 May the recipients of this year’s Inside Out Fund and the Spring Open Fund were invited to a presentation evening to receive their cheques and meet the panel.
The Vice-Chancellor was in attendance to thank the groups personally for their commitment to the local community.
Jon Walker, the Chair of the Community Donations Fund panel, said: “The people of Charnwood benefit greatly from the many voluntary, charitable, educational and sporting organisations in the area that are supported by outstanding volunteers and staff.
Through the Community Donations Fund the University is delighted to be able to provide funds that we hope will enable these organisations to continue the vital work that they do. º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ and Charnwood are very important to the University, and we are pleased to be able to make these local contributions.”
