As a glasses-wearer himself, Joshua believed that paired with his background in Industrial Design, he had insight into what frames would work.

He originally designed two frames but when chosen as one of the winners, Joshua worked with Specsavers to create a collection of five. There are three round designs in black, pewter and white. The other two are circular designs in black and pewter.

His collection was inspired by space travel and feature a red stripe that mimics the stripe on spacesuits.

On winning, Joshua said: “It feels incredible that my designs were chosen because of the number of other talented students who entered. It is a massive achievement for me.”

Joshua joins the Specsavers Design Collective alongside three other young designers. Their frames were recently showcased at London Graduate Fashion Week and will be available for purchase in Specsavers stores and online from Monday 8 July.
