Richard Wheater, Director of Performance and Development, º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ, said:

“To win forty consecutive BUCS championships is something we’re all extremely proud of. This achievement is not only testament to the teams and individuals who have performed so consistently over the past few months, but to those who have contributed to our success over the previous 39 years.

“We’re also thankful for our strong relationship with º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ Students’ Union which enables our talented athletes to flourish, year in, year out. Last but by no means least, we also offer our congratulations and gratitude to the huge number of support staff, coaches, practitioners, and volunteers who have all played their part in making history.”

BUCS is the national governing body for Higher Education sport in the UK and supports and promotes the lifestyle and educational benefits of participating in sport. Each year it delivers more than 50 sports across a varied programme of over 5,800 teams and individual competitors.
