Overton Poetry Prize opens 2019 entries

The competition run by the University’s English department is accepting entries for a sequence of poems on any subject, up to 300 lines.

The winner will be given the chance to have 100 copies of their poem published and will be invited to a launch event to celebrate. The two runners up will receive £50 book tokens.

Entries cost £12 and are open worldwide for anyone 16 and over. There is no restriction on the number of entries, but they must be submitted by 6 January 2020.

The Overton Poetry Prize was established in memory of Professor Bill Overton (1946-2012), a respected English scholar and former head of the department at º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ.
