Alongside the already successful pottery and painting and drawing classes, the class will run from 7pm-9pm every Wednesday from 10 October - 12 December.

The sessions will be led by Marianne Cronin, who is a practising creative writer, with previous works published in Mslexia magazine and the Birmingham Journal of Literature.

Cronin loves to explore how language can be used creatively to affect the reader, and her research on the use of dialogue in fiction has been presented at academic conferences across Europe.

Marianne is excited to be working with enthusiastic writers to help shape their work and explore new themes and activities within the classes. The class will focus on fiction and poetry, but is welcome to all those who are interested in honing their creative writing skills in any form and is open to all levels of ability.

From opening their work with a bang to utilizing the senses and creating a sense of place, she’ll help attendees approach their writing from angles they’d never even considered!”

The course is priced at £50 for University students and £100 for the general public and University staff. Please note places are limited, and the booking system is on a strict first come, first serve basis.
