Taking place on Wednesday 5 December, this years' Christmas concert will include music by the Austrian composer Franz Schubert, the American songwriter Paul Simon and closer to home, well-known figures in the world of choral music such as Hugo Cole, Louis Halsey, Edmund Rubbra and many more.
The choir is made up of staff and students from the University, as well as members from the local community, and is conducted by Eleanor Graff-Baker.
Talking about this year’s concert, Eleanor said: "It's a few years since we've performed in the Martin Hall Theatre and we're really looking forward to presenting our Christmas Concert programme there.
“Hot on the heels of our appearance at the º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ Community Christmas Tree Festival, it's really good to have the opportunity to present the music we've been preparing since October - a wide range of styles from Schubert to Simon & Garfunkel with some seasonal favourites thrown in - something for everyone!"
The concert starts at 7:30pm and will take place in the Martin Hall Theatre located on the University campus.
General admission costs £7 and student tickets are priced at £5 – these can be purchased online or on the door.
