25 years ago online retailing did not exist, with email and mobile phones still in their infancy. While retailing has experienced phenomenal change, the University has continued to develop highly qualified and talented graduates who have contributed to shaping the industry through its Retailing, Marketing and Management degree.
The event, What is the Future Role for Retail?, will bring together leading retailers and academics to share insights on the past and future of retailing, including speakers from Accenture, DHL, Boots, Topshop, Sainsbury’s and Dunelm.
They will discuss a range of topics, such as the future of retail stores, evolving customer experiences and physical to digital high streets.
Two keynote speakers are º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ alumni; Jill Ross, Managing Director, Retail at Accenture who will present The future role of retailing and James Farnham, Head of Online Strategy at Dunelm Direct discussing Home furnishings ‘Bricks to Clicks’.
A practical workshop by professional development and organisational behaviour experts Dr Cheryl Travers and Dr Ray Randall will support participants in enhancing their retail skills.
