º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ to exhibit at UK’s premier Low Carbon Vehicle industry event
The annual event, which takes place on 14th and 15th September, is the UK’s most comprehensive showcase for technologies and capabilities within the Low Carbon Vehicle community. It is organised by Cenex, which was the UK’s first Centre of Excellence for Low Carbon and Fuel Cell technologies and is based in the Advanced Technology Innovation Centre on º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ Science and Enterprise Park.
More than 2,850 people attended the event in 2015, with even more expected this year. Cenex-LCV is supported by a range of industry and government partners, including the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, the Transport Systems Catapult, and the Advanced Propulsion Centre UK.
º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ has a range of expertise and facilities dedicated to advancing the low carbon transport agenda, and works in partnership with the automotive industry to develop new technologies to reduce carbon emissions and provide clean energy solutions. Its expertise also spans more efficient and sustainable methods of manufacturing, pioneering new materials applications, transport infrastructure, vehicle ergonomics, safety, design and user acceptability.
º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ is also a partner in the Energy Research Accelerator (ERA) which is tackling some of the biggest energy challenges facing the UK.
ERA aims to foster research and develop new technologies to shape the UK’s energy landscape over the next 40 years. It is a cross-disciplinary hub of technology research and energy talent which brings the region’s combined research expertise together with the surrounding industrial base to deliver a step change in energy innovation. Partners involved in ERA include the Midlands Innovation group of higher education institutions and the British Geological Survey.
