Guardian ranks º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ in UK top 15
The Guardian university league table 2015 has confirmed º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ as the region’s leading higher education institution.
The table, released today, ranks º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ 15th overall in the UK and number one in the East Midlands.
The University’s Textiles degree course has topped the national table in the Fashion & textiles category; and a further 10 subject areas have also achieved a top 10 rank, including top five scores in Social policy and administration (2nd), Building and town and country planning (3rd), Engineering: materials and minerals (4th) and Design and crafts (5th).
The Guardian's league tables feed into the paper’s highly regarded University Guide and rank universities according to: spending per student; student/staff ratio; graduate career prospects; what grades applicants need to get a place; a value-added score that compares students' entry qualifications with their final degree results; and how satisfied final-year students are with their courses (based on results from the annual National Student Survey).
