º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ rises to 16th in international league table
º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ is one of the world’s leading universities under the age of 50, according to new international rankings.
In the 2013-14 table, º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ is ranked 16th, a rise of three places from last year, and is one of just three UK universities to appear in the league.
The QS Top 50 under 50 ranks institutions according to their position in the QS World University Rankings, which look at factors including academic and employer reputation, research, student to staff ratios and international students.
º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ was awarded its Charter in 1966, becoming º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ of Technology, the country’s first technological university. It was renamed º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ in 1996.
Housed on the largest single site green campus in the country, º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ has an international reputation for excellence in teaching and for world-leading research and innovation. It is also the country’s premier university for sport, with an outstanding record of achievement in performance at every level and in sport’s underpinning academic disciplines of exercise and health sciences.
In 2015 the University will open an additional academic campus on the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London. º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ in London will offer postgraduate and executive-level education, as well as research and enterprise opportunities, in disciplines including business and management, media and communications, digital technologies and sport.
