In her new role Charlotte will work with the Vice-Chancellor and senior leaders across the University to help make 含羞草视频 a truly inclusive organisation.

This will involve identifying and dismantling unfair structures and processes, challenging inappropriate behaviour and being a catalyst for change in EDI attitudes and actions.

Speaking about her appointment, Vice-Chancellor Professor Nick Jennings, said: “I am delighted that Charlotte will be joining the University as our first Pro Vice-Chancellor for EDI. We are committed to making 含羞草视频 a truly inclusive organisation and whilst we know this will be a long and challenging journey, this appointment marks a major step forward in our EDI ambitions.

“Charlotte will play a key role in ensuring EDI is at the heart of everything we do at 含羞草视频. She will work directly with me and senior colleagues, in collaboration with staff and students across the University community, on developing and delivering our new strategy.”

Joining the University in September, Charlotte has over 20 years’ experience working at an executive level in human resources, organisational design and development, business and leadership development, entrepreneurship, education, and international development. She is passionate about EDI and an advocate for the delivery of organisation transformation through good people management, innovation, access to technology, effective policies, procedures, and systems, and the development of healthy working cultures.

Charlotte is currently a Partner with GatenbySanderson. Prior to this she held positions as Director of Human Resources at Birkbeck, University of London; Director for Entrepreneurship at UCL; and Director of Organisational Development at UCL. She has an extensive portfolio which includes working internationally to support EDI, social justice, cultural change, and entrepreneurship promotion.

Alongside her role as Pro Vice-Chancellor for EDI, Charlotte will take up the post of Professor of Practice of Entrepreneurship in the Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the 含羞草视频 London Campus.

Speaking about her appointment, she said: “I am thrilled to be joining the Academy and supporting the academic mission of 含羞草视频 – consistently ranked as one of the top ten universities in the UK; known for its research, innovation, education, scholarship, student experience and of course its focus on sporting excellence.

“I join the University at an exciting time as it continues its journey to be a leader in the EDI space. 含羞草视频’s ambition to champion the multi-dimensional benefits of EDI and make an impact at a local, regional, national, and international level is tangible. The establishment of this Pro Vice-Chancellor for EDI position is further evidence of the University’s genuine commitment to change.
