Lake sustained a foot injury during qualification where she cleared a season’s best 1.95m. Sadly, the 24-year-old couldn’t recover in time and will now turn her attention to the Commonwealth Games and Paris 2024.
In the men’s 1500m, º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ duo Jake Heyward and Jake Wightman finished ninth and tenth respectively in a tough field. Heyward clocked 3:34.43 with alumnus Wightman crossing the line in 3:35.09.
º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ PhD student Jessica Judd was left exhausted following the 10,000m. Taking place in 32-degree heat and high humidity, Judd finished in a respectable 17th place in difficult conditions.
Finally, Emily Diamond performed well in her leg in the women’s 4x400m relay as GB finished in fifth place.
