º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ has been named University of the Year in the Whatuni Student Choice Awards 2018, as well as taking the top spot in the University Facilities and Giving Back categories.

The annual awards are voted for entirely by students – with 36,440 reviews and comments submitted from more than 130 universities across the UK.

This year’s results, published online today at whatuni.com, also place º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ in the top three in a further four categories: Students’ Union (2nd), Job Prospects (2nd), Clubs and Societies (3rd), and Student Support (3rd).

Aaron Porter, Director of Policy and Engagement at Hotcourses Group and a former President of the National Union of Students (NUS), said: "These are unique awards, because they are judged solely by students. For º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ to have the most satisfied students is an accolade they should be particularly proud of, and is further evidence of the special community the university continues to foster."

º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ Vice-Chancellor, Professor Robert Allison, said: “We are absolutely delighted that º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ has been crowned – for the second time – the Whatuni Student Choice Awards University of the Year. As this award is voted for by students it makes it even more of an achievement.

“It is an honour to be named University of the Year and to come top in a further two categories, and everyone across our º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ and London campuses should feel incredibly proud of our success.”

George Etherington, President of º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ Students’ Union added: “We pride ourselves on offering º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ students an experience of a lifetime, in all areas of their university life. Being voted University of the Year, and second in the country for Best Students’ Union, by our students is incredible.”
