New videos provide practical support for university application process

A suite of new videos to help guide students through the university application process has been launched today by º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ.

The three short videos provide expert advice on writing a personal statement, applying through UCAS and preparing for a university interview and are designed to give students a helping hand through what can be a daunting process.

The videos were unveiled as º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ hosted its first ever Teachers and Careers Advisors Conference which attracted colleagues from across the country.

The day was designed to provide sector insight and advice to staff involved in supporting students with post-18 education decisions.

Attendees heard from º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ admissions and marketing experts and UCAS professional development officer Alan Jones.

Talking about the videos, º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ School and College Liaison Manager Kirsty Wilkinson said:

“We want to be able to provide students with information in an easy and accessible way to help them make decisions and support them on their University journey.

“We are committed to providing information, advice and guidance to students, teachers and parents. Today’s conference, and our new videos, are part of a range of engaging activities and resources planned this year.”

º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ’s school and college liaison team plans to make up to 20 videos over the next year covering important stages in the university application cycle, and preparing students for university life.
